Perks Of Being A Late Night Reader

Hey guys! It has been quite some time since I wrote a Wrap Up. However, after this long over due post, I will strive to have monthly wrap ups for you all! :) Now for a update on what I have been reading since my reading slump started back a couple months ago: Since my slump, I have read a total of five books. The first book I read was A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki . The premise of this novel is difficult to explain because of the set up of the novel. It is told through the point of view of a novelist named Ruth, who finds a journal written by a young teen named Nao, as well as from Nao's perspective. It goes through all of the struggles the young teen and novelist face. This was a tough book to get through for me personally and I would have stopped reading it if I could have. However, I had to read it for one of my classes. I gave this book two out of five stars (2/5). I was not crazy about the characters and the plot was slow as well as confusing. It just did not work ...

You all must have noticed the lack of new posts and reviews. Sadly, towards the end of the summer I fell into a huge reading slump and I lost my passion for reading book after book. Starting my college career also did not help me as a book blogger or reader in a reading slump. However, I hope this new year can lead to the end of my slump and a renewed passion for books. I will be posting a wrap up/update on what I've read since my slump started as well as the books I'm currently reading. I wish you all a wonderful and amazing year! So it is now, Monday August 10th 2015 and it is twelve o'clock in the afternoon where I am (Well it was when I wrote this...but I forgot to upload it..sorry!!) , which means the Booktube-a-thon is over...and I didn't read to the best of my ability for several reasons. One people kept coming over to my house and two I was out and about doing things with friends and my boyfriend before I leave for my first year of college. I'm sad that I didn't read as much as I would have liked, but I had fun and I did read the main book I wanted to read. So on with the update! I started off the read-a-thon reading the Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub. Okay, it was more like I continued reading it since I was on page 426, but eh technicalities :P I finished this on the third day and it was awesome! I loved it and would recommend it for everyone, who isn't a young child... Anyway I read a total of 496 pages for this book! :D Then I started listening to Soul Meaning by A.D...

It is now the third day of the Booktube-A-Thon and I finished The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub ! It was so good ugh! Jack Sawyer is such a wonderful character and the plot was so rich. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads, but if it was possible I would give it way more than five stars! Now, I really want to pick up the sequel Black House ! :D Right now, I'm going to start to listen to the audiobook of Soul Meaning by A.D.
