The Patmos Deception by Davis Bunn was really good and I highly enjoyed it. It had some flaws, but it was still entertaining. One of the few flaws it has was that it starts off kind of slow. This was is why it took me so long to start reading it, but afterwards I got into it and finished it in a few sittings. One other flaw was the epilogue, I has not a fan. Especially how he rushed the romance in said epilogue. As for things I liked, there was the plot and the characters. I thought the story line was good and that the characters were interesting and well developed. I did like the romance in the beginning as it was slow and it felt real. If that makes sense... But as I said he rushed the romance in the epilogue. While I was not a fan of the epilogue, I was a fan of how the crime evolved and how the crime was solved. I thought it was really good. The last thing I have to say is that Bunn was really good at describing his plot, characters, and settings. Like wow..

I would recommend it if you are into crime and adult books. I will leave all of the usual links below!

Happy Reading!

Night of All Evil by J.M. Shorney

My Rating: 3/5 stars Average Rating: 4/5 stars Format: ebook ISBN13: 9781310806902 I received a free copy in exchange for a honest review from AuthorAmp.com Night of All Evil was a good gothic horror novel about a witch named Freya that has a dark past that comes back to haunt her and her family. Freya was my favorite character and I really enjoyed reading from her point of view. The thing I liked about her was how she acted in the situations she is placed in. She also is just an interesting person that also happens to be a super powerful witch, which is pretty cool. In fact once I started this novel, I had a hard time putting it down. While I really enjoyed reading the story, the character development was just okay and it was kind of predictable. However, it was still a good read that grabbed my attention and kept me entertained.                        ...
