"To be born Gaian is to be born gifted. That wasn’t always true, but as more infants were born with special talents of the mind, what was once considered abnormal became the majority. The ungifted were sent to Thalassa, an island chain off the coast of the mainland. These orphans grew up in a vassal kingdom forced to pay dues to its overseers. In Severance, the first book of The Sovereign, a Thalassan soldier and orphan gets wind of a plot against his island home and wages war against its oppressors. A captain’s daughter fights for a love across the cultural divide. An assassin’s need for power takes him on a bloody journey throughout both lands. And a princess tells the biggest lie in her nation’s history, protecting her family’s right to rule."- Goodreads

Soul Meaning by A.D. Starrling

My Rating: 4/5 Stars
Average Rating: 3.81 Stars
Format:Audiobook
Length: 10 hrs 1 min

This was a fast paced, action filled adventure involving immortals, hunters, and multiple explosions!  It centers around a halfbreed of two immortal races named Soul. For about the first three hundred years of his life, he was being hunted down by hunters from both sides . However, the hunt ends for a while, but it begins again years after causing Soul and Reid Hasley, his human business partner, to go on the run to find out why Soul is being hunted once again. This leads them to discovering many secrets, allies, and enemies. The immortal concept of them living for as long as it takes for them to die seventeen times was really cool, but confusing. I really liked it, but why seventeen lives... that seem like such a random number. Anyway it was still interesting and they gave me a Highlander vibe, which could never be a bad thin…

Anyone? by Angela Scott

I finished this book in about three hours...
I also tweeted her to see if there would be a sequel...which I want really bad...

"The end of the world? That’s the stuff of Hollywood blockbusters and deep philosophical exercises in school. No need to sweat it. So when sixteen-year-old Tess’s doomsday-dad builds a bomb shelter in their suburban backyard, everyone thinks he’s gone crazy….
…Until fire rains down from the sky, sinking whole cities into colossal craters and setting much of the world ablaze.
Tess’s dad gives her a few short minutes to gather her emergency bag and her freaked-out kitten, then leads her outside and into the underground shelter. Terrified, the last thing she expects is for him to leave her there all alone, but he has no choice—he must find her missing brother. Before leaving, he makes Tess promise to keep the hatch door shut, not to open it for anyone but him, and to stay put until he returns.
But he forgot to tell her one thing: What is she supposed …
